Katie & Brandon

Sunday I got to meet a really fun couple Katie & Brandon. The amazing Darbi g. is shooting their wedding on July 18th and I will be accompanying as a second shooter. Anyways Sunday we met up with them to do their e session. We started out on the MU campus!

Katie just had the most beautiful blue eyes. You can really tell in this image!

The pretty dogwood trees made a really great background to this image.

And here we have a shot of that gorgeous ring!
Above is a behind the scenes shot. Its actually a pretty blurry image (guess my photographic skills were a little lacking haha) but I wanted you to get a taste of what it looks like behind the lens. As you can see with just a little direction you can get some really sweet shots! (see below)

The flowers were probably my fave! Her shirt and scarf were just so perfect to mix with the flowers!

Overall it was such a fun shoot. I can't wait to help be a part of your wedding. So till July 18th.....

Corina

I took my cousin's senior pictures yesterday. I found some really cool new spots and had a lot of fun watching my mom and my aunt try and battle the wind holding the reflector. :)

I love the colors in this image!

And as for my favorite location of the day....Isn't this sweet! I have been wanting so much to shoot an old bath tub (like a trash the dress session kind of thing) and low and behold I just find one in this old house or outside of it. Okay I know that's kind of weird but doesn't it look Amazing! It's so elegant meets grunge!

Oh and this is inside the place. I wish I would have brought lights with me because by the time we shot these it was starting to get dark. But the inside looks sweet too! If you can't tell I was really really really excited!

We finally ended at the Westran softball field. All in all it was a really fun and great shoot! Hope you had fun Corina!!!!

Burning the Field

With Spring on its way and thoughts of green in the air, it comes the time for fields to be burned to make way for new. I have always heard of my Dad and my brother going out to burn the fields but have never actually participated, watched, let alone photograph. But I think I might go more often. I got some really neat and interesting images, definetly diffrent than what I'm use to photographing.
Okay granted you can't see the fire in this image but I am absolutely in love with the composition. Oh and the blue, blue sky!

I think its crazy that you can see the heat waves in this image.

OH by the way the fire did get a little out of hand. It burnt over to the next field (It wasn't suppose to do that). :)
But all was good. They got it out shortly after.

The Neese Family

Today I got to meet the Neese family. We met up out east of town at my dad's shop. It was a little chilly but after awhile the sun started to make it warm up.

Next we went to the Baseball field. What better background can you have when you are sporting your Cardinal gear?

Yay Go Cards!!!! They are my favorite team too! :) I had a lot of fun shooting you guys and hope you had fun too!!!!!!!

Girl Scout Storyboard

In one of my photography classes I had to come up with a make a difference project. So with the help of my aunt, I came up with the idea to take images of the girl scouts. Giving them stock images they could use to possibly use for thank you cards or etc. I am hoping to go to Girl Scout camp in May where I will get a lot more exciting images, but I also went to one of their meetings tonight.

Anyways... when I started talking to my Aunt I had this great idea to make a storyboard. Don't you just love it?

By the way taking pictures of girl scout cookies and trying not to eat them is no easy task!

Jennifer Lawrence

I guess this time maybe I should write something. I've been to busy to think let alone have text accompany my posts but I guess I'll try....

Again I've just been trying to shoot more often and find some new locations. I went to KC today and got my old friend Jen (we cheered together in high school) to be a model for me. She was great! However I have realized unfamiliar city streets plus trying to spot a new location plus being a good driver does not really coincide. I always end up getting honked at for not going when the light turns green or find myself (as I did today) going into the part of the parking garage that clearly has a NO Parking sign! haha. What can I say I have a one track mind when taking pictures.

You know I don't agree with vandalism. However, it really does give even the most random wall or door a sense of character!

I don't know what it is but lately I have found parking garages a really fun place for pictures! Oh and jumping is always fun. It's also a good way to warm up when its not to warm out and today was quite brisk!
Thanks Jen it was so good to see you and I hope you love them!!!!!
