I just got back, not even a week ago, from Phoenix, AZ for Imaging U.S.A. Imaging is a wonderful convention that showcases hundreds of photo vendors, allows you to attend many classes from top ranked photographers, and is a great networking opportunity. As I am a member of SPS (Student Photographic Society) I was allowed to attend the convention as a student volunteer. Basically I had to work a couple hours a day, but in return I received a free hotel room and the option to attend a portfolio review. However, Annika (my roommate and fellow photographer) and I went out a couple of days early to see the sights.
We stopped off the side of the road to check out this gorgeous view!

The fountain was so tall! Plus as soon as it started you could feel the mist from where we were standing.
Annika and I stayed with Joe and Debbie Harmon before we went to the hotel provided by the volunteer program. Joe and Debbie use to live in Moberly until they moved out to AZ quite a few years ago. Anyways, Debbie was the one that took us out to Fountain Hills, and then she took us to her parents house for a little tour. This was one of the views from their house. How amazing would that be to have this as a view. Don't think I would be complaining. 
Whitney and I waiting to catch the light rail! I so miss the warm weather of Phoenix. Overall it was a great trip, but now I'm back and trying to get into step with that whole school nonsense.
