Remember Cara and Leighton from just a few months back? Well with Cara's flaming red hair (which I am absolutely in love with) I think it would be hard for anyone to forget. These two also did what many don't, they got married on a Friday, which was a nice change of pace but it totally messed up my perception of the week as i kept skipping a day ahead.
Now on to the wedding day . . . I started off shooting the girls hair and makeup at Cara's sister's house in Boonville, which I might add had one of the longest driveways I've ever seen! Let the pictures Begin . . .
Oh the shoes!!! I'm such a girl when it comes to wedding shoes. I get all excited and snap snap snap. So I grabbed a couple shots at the house in Boonville, but as you'll see I snapped a couple more later on. Oh and might I add just how Sweet these shoes are! Gorgeous color, super tall, and right up my alley!
The ceremony/reception took place in the historic Blackwater, Mo at the Ironhorse Hotel. It was a beautiful location and lent itself well for all photography purposes!
This is by far my favorite wedding cake of all time!!! So simple and beautiful. Not to mention it was butter cream icing which is hard to believe with how smooth the icing is. Normally when you see a cake like that you automatically assume it's fondant. Nope . . . it's the good stuff (well at least I personally prefer butter cream to fondant)
And then you have the groom's cake (again it's butter cream). Can you guess what Leighton likes to do for fun? Oh and I forgot to mention Cara and Leighton had a dessert reception, which meant all sweets, sweets, and more sweets. Hint the rock Candy and lollipops that you can see in the background.
Poor dad! Although he was obviously determined! The first time I've ever seen crutches as a bride & father duo headed down the aisle. What a trooper!
We'll end with a pic of the Bride & Groom and me!! Such a great day full of yummy details, an awesome couple, and so much personality!!! To Cara and Leighton I wish you the best of luck! And again Thanks so much for making me a part of your day!
